Today, the latest expression of that concern is the Seton Breast Health Center. In addition to a full range of services, we are dedicated to providing the compassionate, attentive and expert care for which Seton Medical Center has always had an excellent reputation.
Our services include diagnostic and screening digital mammograms, ultrasound exams and guided biopsy, stereotactic breast biopsy capability, breast MRI and breast health education. If a patient is diagnosed with cancer and treatment is required, Seton Medical Center provides access to a full range of interventions, including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy.

Digital Mammography
Mammography (the process of taking digital X-ray images of thebreasts) is one of the most important screening tools available to find out if you have a breast disease.
Digital Mammography services at Seton Breast Health Center include:
- Image reviews performed by board-certified Radiologists
- Technologists who are credentialed to perform diagnostic and screening mammography by the American College of Radiology and the State of California
- Our low-dose digital mammography equipment is also accredited by the American College of Radiology and the State of California and meets the highest standards for safety, image quality and technical performance.
To Schedule a Mammogram at Seton in Daly City
Call us at 650-991-5900 to schedule your appointment for a mammogram. Regular appointment hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. If you need to be seen immediately, we will make every effort to schedule your appointment within 24 hours.
If you are pre-menopausal, you should have your appointment near the 10th day after you start your period, when your breasts are the least tender to minimize any discomfort.
Schedule a Mammogram at Seton Coastside
You can also schedule a screening mammogram at our other campus – Seton Coastside in Moss Beach. Call 650-728-5521 to make your appointment.
Ultrasound Diagnosis
Ultrasound imaging can be used to diagnose conditions by means of sound waves. Ultrasound is valuable not only for screening purposes, but also for ultrasound guided biopsies or for the precise placement of a wire marker to guide a surgeon during a surgical biopsy.
Stereotactic Breast Biopsies, Breast Needle Localizations and Breast MRI
Stereotactic breast biopsies and breast wire localizations are currently available and breast MRI exams will be available in early Spring 2011. These are all alternative and additional methods for diagnosing possible breast disease and can all be provided on an outpatient basis.

Consultations for Breast Cancer Patients
Our Breast Health Nurse can provide referrals for you to specialized resources in the community for consultation on wigs, prostheses, clothing and make-up, as well as a wide range of educational offerings and support programs.
